Football Combine

Each year the Tampa Bay High School Football Combine offers up-and-coming athletes from Hillsborough County the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in an event modeled after the NFL Combine.

Player interviews conducted at the event, in addition to their participation in the combine drills, will be used to produce a digital magazine that will feature all athletes and highlight their teams upcoming season.

Athletes will be tested in the areas of speed, strength, explosive power, and agility.  In addition to these standardized performance measures, athletes will participate in position-specific drills.

$0 - This event is FREE

Here is what the day will look like:

• Arrival and Check-In (athletes issued Under Armour Combine Shirt and Combine ID)
• Measureables will be taken (height, weight, wingspan, headshot photo)
• Interview with Prep Sports Scouting
• Warm-up followed by performance tests (40 yard dash, Pro-Agility aka 5-10-5, 3 cone, vertical jump, broad jump, medicine ball toss, optional bench press)
• Position specific drills (filmed).

Frequently Asked Questions:

​Will there be 1 on 1's? 

• No, the event is non-contact.  While 1 on 1's can be fun, in this type of setting we do not believe the benefits outweigh the potential risk of injury.

Can I participate if I do not attend a Hillsborough County High School?

• Yes.

What will I get out of participating in this event?

• Not ony an awesome experience and verified testing results, but each player will be featured in our digital magazine that will come out before the start of football season.  This magazine will recap the entire combine. The results and player interviews conducted at the event will be used to formulate our season preview of every team in the Tampa Bay area.

Will this event help with my exposure and/or college recruitment?

• The program is annually attended by college football programs and scouts that are able to attend per the respective governing body rules and regulations.  Additionally, every college football program and scouting network in the country will have online access to the digital magazine recapping the event.  While you likely won't walk away from the event with a scholarship offer, you can expect additional exposure to coaches and media that you may not have had previously.

Can my parents and friends watch?

• Yes.  we only ask that they remain in the stands and off the field.

The event is conducted by experienced performance specialists and a professional coaching staff.
